Students must be 17 years old by the last day of the month in which he/she is scheduled to take the written certification exam. Note that this policy is set by the State of New York's Department of Health, Bureau of EMS.

It depends on your conviction. The State requires you to disclose any previous convictions and will evaluate your record and make their own determination. SVAC has no control over this.

Every class period, you will be taught a different portion of the NYS EMT-B curriculum. It is important that you attend every session. If you believe you will not be able to attend all classes, please discuss this with SVAC prior to registering.
